Kenjaku

It's Jujutsu Baby
In the Geto hit piece I did, I mentioned how a major villain took over his body once he died. Ooooo the way Gege does plot twists in JJK is too good. For people who have only watched the anime and the movie, they're wondering how Geto is still alive if Gojo killed him. Turns out a jujutsu sorcerer from thousands of years ago saw Geto's corpse and couldn't let his abilities go to waste. I will get into that later. Lets be honest here, Kenjaku is the best villain in the series, he knows his limits and capabilities. He's not stupid and the way he carries out his plans reminds me of Aizen from bleach. He's lost to the Gojo clan several times in the past, so what does he do? Takes them out when they are at their weakest, as babies (yes he is a menace). Kenjaku states several times he's not going to fight Gojo because he knows he will lose. Its refreshing to have a shonen main villain who's main forte is scheming rather than fighting. Known as history's most evil sorcerer, he really did the Kamo clan dirty. 150 years ago he possessed the head of the Kamo clan and was the cause of an incident that was known to put a "stain" on the Kamo family. This man gathered cursed spirits and forcefully impregnated a woman with them 9 times and carried out 9 abortions (I'm telling you, the villainy is strong with this one). This experiment created Choso and his brothers, half human, half cursed spirit. Later on in the series you find out he possessed the MC's mother before he was born, meaning he gave birth to Yuji and is the reason why Yuji is physically gifted and able to supress Sukuna. He also orchestrated Yuji finding Sukuna's finger and several other major events that happens through out the series, that's my GOAT.
Personality

Abilities

Yeah he’s pretty broken. Its actually unfair tbh.
Intellect: Yes I’m putting his IQ as an ability because the steps he took to further his own agenda in the series is ridiculous. Also being 1000+ years in age has allowed him to experience countless battles, making him an expert in Jujutsu sorcery and hand to hand combat. It honestly makes sense why he was able to use Geto’s technique better than Geto. Here’s a few moments in the series where I just thought, “damn this guy thought 10 steps ahead”:
- Seals Gojo. Somehow he obtained an item known as “the prison realm”. This thing can seal anyone, but there is a catch to it. The target has to go through a minutes worth of time in their head. Kenjaku uses this item on Gojo and successfully seals him because he is BIG BRAIN. Gojo has the “six eyes” so his brain processes things much faster than anyone else, so how does Kenjaku overcome this? He possesses Geto, Gojo’s best friend who Gojo personally killed himself. So Gojo sees Kenjaku (in Geto’s body) and instantly thinks of the 3 years worth of time he has spent with Geto. This allows the prison realm to activate and seal Gojo. That’s how Kenjaku sealed one of the strongest characters in the series. Bear in mind he had to watch/stalk Gojo to find out who is closest to him and use that to his advantage by possessing them, making Gojo vulnerable to the prison realm.
- Gained Mahito’s curse technique. Easily manipulated Mahito and the other disaster curses into doing his bidding. He eventually used Geto’s cursed spirit manipulation to absorb Mahito and obtain Mahito’s cursed technique, “idol transfiguration”. With this new technique he creates the culling games, a battle royale with the goal of optimizing cursed energy.
- Created Yuji and Choso. Two characters who have a high ceiling when it comes to potential. Kenjaku carried out unethical human experiments that led to the birth of Choso and his brothers. At some point in time he possessed Yuji’s mother, had intercourse with Yuji’s father and then gave birth to Yuji, JJK’s current MC (that is MAD).
- Kills Yuki. Kenjaku killing her by himself is impressive but what’s more shocking is how he went about it. Remember how I mentioned Kenjaku possessing Yuji’s mother? Turns out she was a jujutsu sorcerer who’s cursed technique was gravity. Whenever Kenjaku hops into a new body, he gains their cursed technique too. Yuki didn’t see that coming loool.
Cursed Spirit Manipulation: After possessing Geto, Kenjaku gained all his memories and inherited his Cursed spirit manipulation. Oooo you know I love it when a character’s abilities tie into their lore. Geto hates using his ability so he never bothered to improve it. Kenjaku states this and also mentions how Geto didn’t realise the true potential of his cursed spirit manipulation. He then demonstrates cursed spirit manipulation when it is used to its fullest. Which is being able to summon special grade cursed spirits (the strongest type of curses, the ones who can use domain expansion). In the Geto’s blog post, I mentioned how Geto didn’t realise the second part of his ability, being able to exorcise curses and steal their technique. Kenjaku reveals this too, so he now has techniques on top of techniques (combining his and Geto’s cursed technique). He’s broken.
Body Hopping: This is Kenjaku’s main technique/gimmick, at first glance it doesn’t seem all that. This technique allows him to swap bodies with another person by transplanting his brain into their body. For my manga readers, the few people you see in the manga with stitches across their forehead…yeah…There’s more though, once he’s in a new body, he gains all their memories and inherits said person’s cursed technique. The only drawback is there is a limit to how many techniques Kenjaku’s brain can store before overloading. At first I didn’t think much of this ability but the further I read into the series (and seeing how Kenjaku uses it) made me realise how unfair it is, especially in the hands of someone who prefers to scheme in the back line rather than fight on the front line.

Smoke
9/10, he’s clearly shown, time and time again, that human life is nothing but a resource to test out his new theories and experiments. Experimentation aside, he will pack off anyone he thinks he is capable of taking out. if someone is stronger than him, he’d rather avoid conflict with them. My dawg Kenny WILL fight if he has to and when he does, there’s no hesitation to kill. Everyone knows Gojo would beat him (easily) but I do think he wouldn’t go out without fighting. Another example is Choso and Yuki ambushing him, he’d rather not fight these two at the same time, but was forced to. He beat both of them using different techniques (They were close to killing him but ultimately lost).
