Sukuna

A Jujutsu Nerd
I remember the time I started getting into JJK and people wrote it off as a Naruto clone. "Sukuna is just another Kurama and the MC will eventually turn him good". They couldn't be more wrong. What makes Sukuna so cool is that his character is already set in stone. There is no redemption, go back to chapter 1 or episode 1 and see what his first words were when introduced. People need to realise this, he is EVIL. I like how Gege still has his backstory shrouded in mystery, I have so many questions mannnn. What does he mean by "True Jujutsu"?, Why does he have so much cursed energy?, How is he so efficient when fighting?, Why does he look like that?. A big selling point JJK has is their villains. Especially Sukuna and Kenjaku, I want full flashback chapters on who they were (Their names are not actually "Sukuna" and "Kenjaku") and how they turned out the way they did. Regarding the whole Gojo vs Sukuna debate, as much as I love Gojo, I just like Sukuna more. I always thought he would win, I never really thought his slashes would be stopped by infinity because I didn't think they were projectiles, I thought he just summons them. I was wrong until chapter 236 loool. Gege GLAZES Sukuna so much I don't know how anyone thought Gojo was taking the dub.
Personality

One thing I’ve noticed with Sukuna is how he’s never called himself “The Honoured One”, “Sukuna” or “The King of Curses”. These are all names/titles the author and other characters have given him. It makes sense why everyone fears him, he enjoys harming others and seems to love traumatising the MC anytime he can. For no reason. Putting this guy’s Sadistic nature to the side, him and Gojo have a surprising parallel. Gojo loves to talk down and berate his opponents, even though he’s on the “good” side. Sukuna on the other hand, encourages and praises people he fights (if he genuinely thinks they are strong). He’s done this with Maki, Megumi, Gojo and Jogo. He values a good fight and appreciates someone going all out for the “win”.
Sukuna is laidback through out the majority of the series, We see him nervous for the first time in 1000 years when facing Gojo. JJK has stated several times that The King of Curses has an overwhelming sense of self, so for him to be unsure of himself in this instance is a bigggg thing. This shows he is not a 1 dimensional character. What makes him more intriguing is how he views humans and emotions such as love. He sees them as worthless and doesn’t understand why humans behave the way they do. Sukuna used to be human so I need to know how he turned into this (Gege please, give me somethingg).
Abilities

Most of Sukuna’s abilities have not been revealed. We don’t even know what his black box does and what his Cursed Technique even is ffs. I’m just going to go off the little we do know of what he can do.
Intellect: Look man, I know its weird making this an “ability” but we all know this guy is big brain. You are not telling me you predicted Sukuna using Mahoraga as a way to show him how to use his slashes differently and beat Gojo. We see him figure out how Gojo is so fast back in episode 1. This is right after he is introduced and after their 10 second exchange. Sukuna is able to look at other people’s Cursed Techniques and break down how they work, similar to Gojo’s Six eyes. He’s just that much more skilful and experienced with Cursed energy when compared to everyone else. The story mentions how he just needs to see techniques once or twice to fully understand or copy them. He understood how Mahoraga’s technique worked from one glance and learned how to separate his soul and turn them into cursed objects after watching Kenjaku do it once.
I’m not even going to talk about how he saw the potential of Megumi’s 10 shadows technique and the amount of planning that went into making that binding vow with Yuji. All in all, he’s always 10 steps ahead (which is one of the main reasons why he is so broken).
Cursed Energy: Yuta was stated to have the most Cursed energy in the series. Gojo was stated to be the most efficient user of Cursed energy due to his six eyes. Until it was revealed that Sukuna has AT LEAST twice as more Cursed energy than Yuta and only second to Gojo in Cursed energy efficiency due to his Six eyes. He’s a raid bossss. Every single time this guy shows up, people are shivering because of his aura. Every single time . I don’t think there has ever been a time where Sukuna has ran out of Cursed Energy during a fight.
Cursed Technique: We don’t know wth it is. We only know that it has 3 “characteristics”. Sukuna can throw out two types of slashes. “Dismantle”, a normal slash that can target objects, cursed spirits and other sorcerers. “Cleave” is a slash that adjusts itself depending on the targets cursed energy. You’re not blocking these attacks man. The third one has him chant “open”, where he throws out a fire arrow that is powerful enough to exorcise a fire cursed spirit (How is Jogo getting cooked by a fire based attack loool).

Domain Expansion: Known as the peak of Jujutsu sorcery, Sukuna’s domain expansion is just not fair. He summons his “Shrine” and its guaranteed hit effect relentlessly shreds the target with the two types of slashes I mentioned before. Here’s the catch though. In JJK everyone’s domains has a barrier that closes itself off from the surrounding environment. Sukuna and Kenjaku on the other hand have Domain expansions that have an “Open barrier”. Which means their domain manifests in real life, you can’t break something that is barrierless. This is unheard of when it comes to Jujutsu sorcery and takes a ridiculoussss amount of skill to do. Sukuna’s domain is described as:
“The ability to realise ones innate domain without using a barrier is akin to an artist painting not on a canvas but in the air. A truly divine technique”
Smoke
11/10, he is described as a “calamity” or a “natural disaster”. He does what he wants and doesn’t value human life. It makes sense because he transcended humanity (just like Tengen), being so strong that you can do whatever you like without any repercussions. What he does in the Shibuya Incident Arc was the craziest thing man, kill count on 1000+.
